Overview

If you want to visit Canada for tourism, to see family, or for short business trips, you will probably need a Visitor Visa, also called a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). Most visitors can stay in Canada for up to six months per entry.

Here’s what we review together:

  • Ties to your home country: Immigration officers must be satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit.
  • Purpose of travel: Your reason for visiting must be clear, genuine, and well documented.
  • Supporting documents: This may include a valid passport, proof of funds, travel history, and a letter of invitation where applicable.
  • Visa validity: Visitor visas may be issued as single-entry or multiple-entry visas and can be valid for up to 10 years or until your passport expires, depending on your circumstances and the officer’s discretion.
  • Extensions: In some cases, visitors may apply to extend their stay from within Canada before their status expires.
Our role is to help you present a credible and consistent application that aligns with your travel plans and immigration history.
